My Team is my success. Replacing a member is never easy.
Finding honest, hard working people, who will value your time, is not easy.
Its taken me 20+years to get close. Thankfully I realized 10yrs ago it can be smaller than I first imagined.
I took on the roles I had a passion and drive for, and found people who had the same for other (equally important) task.
The bottom line is that I don't like doing some things, and others I have to remind myself that even though I can I shouldn't.
You would think after all these years I would be over changing out ceiling fans. But if my guys can't get to it when I would like I start to consider busting out the tool belt. However, thats the easy way and the one with the least benefit. Looking for another trade is not a waste of time, to the contrary. I also learned that even the best of the best have life happen. You cannot wrap your whole success in just one or two people. Its not a competition, but a reality that you need to have some choices. Sure, I have my favorites. But I also have enough of a relationship that I let them know when I am looking for a backup, and they (being success minded) want to ensure that I am taken care of when he cannot. THAT is what a good team mate does. No selfishness, No greed. Shared success.
