You hire people to solve problems. If you are hungry you can order to your door or order a car to take you to a place where food will be handed to you however you like.
Some problems are bigger and require different kind of solutions; most you are typically not encouraged to see how "the sauce" is made. The reason is that most of these problems have much easier solutions than you imagine, and people fear their utilitarian value may leave if you find out. You may not waste time once you see how yours isn't prioritized; if nothing else in their effort to "build value" in the solution they offered.
REI Guide Service is the opposite of that strategy. We don't want to hold your hand forever or bring you into our system of solutions. Because the reality is that the only value we offer is the ability to save someone the time it would take to find out for themselves. All our referrals would be to public firms that would likely take your business even without our name, and would serve you well regardless. We don't offer discount programs or frequent flyer miles. No gimmicks. They are too hard to build and keep track of and the real estate and construction business have more than enough challenges without adding gimmicks.
I want those I who I work with to be partners and fair competitors within this vessel of which we have chosen to invest our time, energy, imagination, information, wealth, and passion. I want my successes to be measured by how many I guided to finding their own solutions in ways they couldn't now imagine.
